Tony Luke's Cheese Steaks
I grew up with good Philly Cheese steaks and in Philadelphia they are everywhere. Everybody wants to go by Pat's if for no other reason than to say you have been there. But if you want the real thing go to Tony Luke's and get a real cheese steak. http://www.tonylukes.com/
When my wife and I moved back to Philadelphia, after 25 years raising our family in Texas, we were surprised to find very few online food reviews of the locally owned cafes, pizza parlors and restaurants. There are plenty of reviews of the big name restaurants. But we're pretty much done with all that. We wanted the best cup of coffee, hamburger, cheese steak, bagel, sushi, hot pretzel, slice of pizza, or almond croissant. So we review the everyday places to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. We like food, music, politics, religion, movies, books, shopping, walking, and exploring new places. We have as many failures as successes when we are exploring new places. I hope you enjoy both.
